never expect anything

randomness is life. nothing will ever go as planned. things are only perfect in movies, and even then it takes months of rehearsal to complete them.  expecting something is more foolish than continuously lighting matches and thrusting your hand into gasoline. if you don't get burned now, you will soon. cherish the coincidental strokes of luck that pass you by because, well... they're passing you by.

Very true. A wise man once said life is what happens to you when you donit expect it. I think you can have some order to it, but thats limited to deciding what cereal to eat for breakfast tommorow. even that can get screwed up.

They may be two different quotes, so I'm not correcting you or anything... but John Lennon said that "life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"... that is so true... i hate to think of that, but is there anything we can really do to avoid it? i mean, right now... that quote is especially important at this stage of our lives... we plan on going to college, so we get jobs and save money... something happens so we don't get to go to college right away, but we keep getting different jobs and perhaps move up the ladder in some company with the hope that someday we WILL go to college... well, what if we never get to go? we just missed life, which was our beginning careers while we were preparing for college... that was a really obvious example, but it's interesing to think about...

I think your quote is the one I was thinking of.

haha good job for figuring that lesson in life justin. i knew that long before... so i never made plans, except i planned for the worst outcome possible. but then no matter how foolproof the plan for that, something worse always ended up happening and i got screwed. so now i never plan. i could die tomorrow. i could die right now. thats why im a procrastinator, so i get the fun stuff done first and therefore i will have had a better life than if i worked my ass off and didnt get to experience the benefits of my work afterwards because i died. heh. ill call it a comment. til next time my friend.
